Marcellus Haynes

Marcellus is an independent software consultant and the founder and co-organizer of the Technologists of Color, a meetup group whose aim is to grow the African-American tech community in Atlanta. Technologists of Color began operation in May 2012 and now boasts more than 1,750 members.  Due to his work with Technologists of Color, Mr. Haynes was recognized in a January 2017 Huffington Post article as one of the 20 Innovators Shaping Atlanta’s Black Startup Community.

Marcellus holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida and is an active graduate member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. A Decatur, GA native, he lives in the metro Atlanta area with his wife Dennisha and his two children.
