Learning Swift - where to start if you're not a programmer

Mobile & Web

Wendy L. Wise

Attendees will learn the basics of what it takes to begin programming for iPhones and iPads using Apple’s Swift language. The talk is intended for those who have never programmed before and are interested in getting started. This talk will provide the basics of how to get started, what resources are available, and why now is the best time to learn. Everybody can program - given the right tools, the time to learn, and patience. You too can be an iOS programmer!
The talk will be based on the book Anyone Can Create an App, Beginner iPhone and iPad Programming - written by the speaker. One attendee will walk away with a copy of the book (random drawing to be held at the end of the session) and all attendees will receive a discount code for purchase of the book if they are interested.
